The Perfect Life the new single off The Response’s upcoming self-produced album Novel Idea sheds more light on the ever expanding sonic palette of the duo.

The bouncy guitars and quirky drums lend an upbeat energy to ominous chords and sounds on the new song. Andy grapples with the disconnect between expectations and day to day reality. Somewhat of a Millennial anthem, the tongue in cheek chorus surrenders to escapism in the face of it all, choosing to ‘play games’ and ‘eat some pie’ rather than acknowledge the world outside.
