Triggar Happy (Regan Tucker) continues his unstoppable rise with the release of his explosive new single, I Rock ‘n’ Roll – a hard-hitting anthem about resilience, grit and refusing to back down when life throws its toughest punches.
The new release follows a breakout year for the Ōtorohanga-born artist, who has built a loyal following through his unique blend of country storytelling, rock attitude and unapologetic authenticity. Raised in Waikato, Triggar spent years running six farms before losing everything and making the bold decision to leave the land behind in pursuit of music. Written after radio stations encouraged him to follow up the success of Zombies with another high-energy rock track, the song draws inspiration from a real-life bar fight in Tasmania. Rather than glorifying violence, Triggar transformed the experience into an anthem about digging deep, standing your ground, and finding strength when the pressure is on.

When asked about the release of I Rock ‘n’ Roll, Triggar says:
“After ‘Zombies‘, a couple of radio stations asked if I had another rock song in me. My producer Noema challenged me to write something even more aggressive, so I thought back to a bar fight I got into in Tasmania. That became the starting point, but the song isn’t really about fighting. It’s about what happens when life gets hard. I’ve always believed when the chips are down, you don’t quit – you drop down a gear and push even harder. That’s what Trigger Happy is all about. I Rock ‘n’ Roll is my way of saying I don’t back down, and I hope it reminds people they don’t have to either.”
