Tāmaki Makaurau electronic producer and singer-songwriter Vanessa Tottle. joins forces with Pōneke’s own gothic alt-rock trio Tragediesfor an exclusive co-headline performance at Moon Bar on Thursday, August 20th.
Promising a massive night of darkwave, trip-hop, and immersive live electronic music, the show brings together two of New Zealand’s most compelling underground acts for an unforgettable, cinematic experience.
The Lineup
Vanessa Tottle: Crafting trip-hop that is simultaneously 90s-rave nostalgic and fiercely futuristic, Tāmaki Makaurau-based artist Vanessa Tottle merges hypnotic, velvety vocals with immersive instrumental layers, ethereal synths, and heavy electronic grooves. Her live set is engineered to transport audiences to another dimension.
Tragedies: The gothic lovechild of post-punk, trip-hop, and alt-rock, Tragedies is an independent Pōneke trio making music for grieving, healing, and processing the complexities of modern life. Known for their deeply intimate live shows, the band is celebrating the momentum of their single Ordinary and upcoming release of Taupiri on 15 July – ahead of their highly anticipated debut album.
