Velveteen Shakes Releases New Single ‘Neurotica’

Neurotica, the latest offering from Velveteen Shakes, is out now. The second single from the upcoming debut album The Book of Velveteen, Neurotica was recorded at Big Fan Studios with producer Noema Te Hau III (Paige, alayna, Rita Ora, Muri) and written with Shakes’ bandmates Jessie Booth (Elemeno P, Ekko Park, Sam Cullen) and Kieren Norman (Ekko Park, LEIGH), with artwork by Tashi Donnelly.

Velveteen Shakes is the solo project of Keegan Tunks (Te Whānau-ā-Apanui), a multi-instrumentalist musician & songwriter based in Tāmaki Makaurau. He has worked with and supported prominent local acts such as Nesian Mystik, The Black Seeds, & Blindspott, and has performed backing vocals alongside international act Adele.
