One thing I can say about Audrey Bangay’s Five More Minutes is that it’s genuinely amazing. From the writing style to the guitar work, there’s so much to appreciate about this track. Everything comes together in a way that makes the song feel special, and it’s the kind of music that leaves an impression long after you’ve finished listening.
The writing is one of the strongest aspects of the song. There’s something about the way everything is put together that makes it feel natural and engaging rather than forced. It gives the track its own personality and allows the listener to connect with it on a deeper level. Good songwriting can make a song memorable, and Five More Minutes does a great job of showing how important that is. It doesn’t need to rely on unnecessary extras to make an impact because the writing itself is already strong enough to carry the song.
The guitar is another highlight. It adds so much to the overall sound, giving the track character and helping bring everything together. The guitar work feels like an essential part of the song rather than something simply added to fill out the arrangement. It complements the writing beautifully and helps create an atmosphere that makes the listening experience even better. It’s one of those elements that makes you appreciate the care and thought that have gone into putting the track together.
What I particularly like about Five More Minutes is how these different elements work alongside each other. The writing and instrumentation complement one another, creating a track that feels cohesive rather than like a collection of separate ideas. When a song gets this balance right, it makes a real difference to the final result.
Overall, Audrey Bangay has delivered something genuinely impressive with Five More Minutes. The excellent writing, fantastic guitar work, and the way everything comes together make it a song worth giving your attention to. It’s easy to focus on one particular element when discussing music, but here, the combination of strong songwriting and great instrumentation is what makes the track stand out. For me, Five More Minutes is a great example of how much a song can achieve when its individual parts work together so well.
Five More Minutes is the title track of the EP, and in my opinion the best song on the EP. It was my first impression of Audrey Bangay, and it got me into her music straight away. It’s beautifully written.
Exit is another really good track on the EP, released on September 7th 2026, and is the second best song on the EP. It wasn’t my first or second impression of Audrey Bangay, but it was one of my favourite songs on the EP. I’m so glad I listened to it.
