Gratitude Album Review

He’s arguably this country’s biggest DJ and producer. Metallers, Rappers, Popsters and pretty much anyone that’s listened to mainstream music in the past ten years know his stage name.

And if by some strange twist of fate you’ve never heard of P-Money, you only need to look at last week’s album of the week on half this nation’s radio stations. 

Gratitude is out now, and although made with and for a mainly American audience, the latest record from hip-hop’s prodigal son is making waves here at home. 

With a leg long list of American all-star collaborators, Gratitude also features our own @peace and New Zealand’s sweetheart Aaradhna, whose latest album, Treble & Reverb, was produced by P-Money himself.

Be he like a fine wine refined with age, or perhaps influenced by American grapes, compared to some of P-Money’s earlier chart climbing singles, Gratitude has a more mature, refined sound.  A modernisation of Motown, and Lounge music. A soundtrack to an upper class haven for cigar smokers and slow dancers.
