Single Review: Live Forever or Die Trying

A full-on rush of guitars and drums that kick you in the face will stir and arouse you to attention. This new track by Kiwi pop punk rockers Fallstate is a momentous cacophony of harmonics and noise that gloriously spills its guts out without pretentiousness, in fact you could say it’s a track that certainly lives by its name.

The scorching vocals are a wonderful mix of two voices, one with cleaner tones and the other providing the gravel grinds, layer by layer they furnish the track with sumptuous power and expression that articulates the songs comic theme with perfect mayhem. All the while a relentless guitar grinds and licks around mental drumming that powers along to a tremendous thrusting rhythm that fortifies the track so well, its metronomic but also fluid and alive.

Fallstate have produced a kick arse track that feels large and boundless, in fact it’s a great diversion from any otherwise mundane task you may be doing, so I recommend that you stretch your neck, play it loud, and enjoy its head banging righteousness with abandon.
