Openside seem to constantly be on our radar, opening for bands like All Time Low and Fall Out Boy and just consistently releasing music. They released their EP Push Back, followed by I Feel Nothing and now we have their new single No Going Back.
In this new track, vocalist Possum Plows is mixing up her vocals a bit as well, going from whispered verses to a powerful chorus. The chorus is definitely that pop sound we love from Openside. But No Going Back definitely has elements everyone can appreciate. It’s very catchy and sounds like the type of track you would blast on the radio.
The song seems to be about a relationship that has ended but the feelings are still there. Openside have also released a video to the track which tells a similar story. It is simple yet effective and very well shot.
There is no stopping Openside at the moment and it will be exciting to see what they have in store for us next.
