With their new single, The Latest Fallout have taken more of a Pop Rock approach. There are some distinct Punk undertones, but the vocals make it come across as being more of a Pop Rock track. Brendan Pyper’s vocals in their older releases were rawer, whereas they now seem cleaner and somewhat manufactured for radio. This is not necessarily a bad thing.
The instruments seem to mix the old with the new, however, I feel as though the track seems somewhat obscure. Regardless of the vocals, What Kind of Person Do You Take Me For, is still a captivating and memorable track.
Unfortunately, not too long after releasing this single, an announcement was made via Facebook that The Latest Fallout were disbanding. It’ll be interesting to see what music they all individually pursue in the future.
