Strangers Again Album Review

This is the future sound of New Zealand music. Strangers Again is destined to be the definitive electro indie pop release of 2012. This album will get customer service reps in Wild Pair and Valley Girl stores around the country nodding their heads, and give the handbag minding boyfriends standing outside the dressing rooms something to dance to. 

The tracks are catchier than the common cold in July, though this contrasting mixture of bright spacey music and nonchalantly facetious lyrics is far less debilitating. Think The Naked and Famous but with a bit more life experience under their belts, a bit more meaning behind the lyrics. Think Interpol, but more jovial. Better still, don’t think. Go get the CD instead. Look for the album with the bright blue image of a spacey supernova, an image that could almost be a visual representation of the music.
