Em Releases New EP ‘Cloud City’
Indie-pop artist Em (Emily Wheatcroft-Snape) drops her bewitching EP Cloud City today, offering a captivating collection of songs that entice with gentle, beckoning hands.
The self-produced project includes title track Cloud City; considered the sister song Single Girl Era [Nov 10], and is about appreciating friends and taking time to be alone with oneself. Joined by Manuela Ovalle Herrera (guitar) and Mackensie Clayton (piano), Em has created an exquisitely timeless track with friends, about friends.

Whilst Single Girl Era and Cloud City parallel one another, Night Out, acts as a central contrast, reflecting on the phases explored in previous relationships but looking forward to future content.
“In a way, I’m using this song to reassure myself that it will feel better, but also realising that relationships and feelings change, and that’s okay.” – Em
There is a lightness that develops as the EP progresses, “like the sun has just started to rise above the horizon”, enveloping listeners in warmth and welcoming endless replay.
