Celine return with self-titled EP on 9th December

Celine is a guitar-based noise rock trio from Auckland Tāmaki Makaurau. Originally active in the mid 90’s and led by Rob Lundon (Wrong White Crowd with Dale Cotton, and production for Dam Native and Emcee Lucia) and Andrew Moon (Goblin Mix, RST, Cindytalk), the band re-grouped in 2019 to record and play new music. In 2020 they released The Last Days of Evolution EP.
The band has returned to the live scene this year, with new bassist (and animation artist) Kirsten Smith (Sperm Bank 5, and The Sheets, as seen in the King Loser documentary) and drummer Marty Doo (Glide (AUS), Challenger 7, (AUS), The Beads, Seeds of Orbit).
Celine is releasing their self-titled EP on Saturday 9th December. Mixed by New York-based engineer Andrew Schneider (Unsane, Cave In), and mastered by Bob Weston (Shellac), the recordings reflect the band’s shared love of outsider melancholic pop, 90’s noise rock and golden era Flying Nun.
