Emerging Country Music Artist Jaydin Shingleton Releases Single ‘World For You’
After opening for US country music star Kip Moore at the Powerstation earlier this year, NZ Gold Guitar Awards winner & Trans-Tasman Entertainer of the Year, Jaydin Shingleton (NgaiTahu) has produced a hook-laden country ballad about his first long-distance romance. “Relationships can be tough at the best of times but long distance is next level” Jaydin recalls. Fortunately, his fiance recently said yes to his marriage proposal and the couple just had their first baby. “This year has been crazy with my beautiful fiance, a baby boy in our arms, my first big support act show, and a bunch of new singles to release – and I’m planning a trip to Nashville next year!”
With his sights firmly set on the country music capital of the world in 2024, he’s inspired by US country megastar Luke Combs who took that same trip early on in his career. But Jaydin also acknowledges local country music stars like Kaylee Bell & Tami Neilson as being hugely supportive and inspiring. “These women are leading the charge in building a global audience as unique Kiwi country artists. Kaylee has toured with Ed Sheeran and country legend Keith Urban and recently headlined her own successful NZ tour.
Jaydin is excited about what lies ahead, especially opportunities to upskill his songwriting craft & Nashville will definitely afford him that. “I’ve got so much to learn but I love it! I just want to grow as an artist & Kaylee said she’ll hook me up with contacts when I hit Nashville. As a young Ngai Tahu fella living in Kaikoura, it’s a huge buzz to have that genuine support.”
World For You is Jaydin’s second single release, but it’s the first release from his upcoming album. It was produced, recorded & mixed at Dan Cosgrove’s, DC Studios in Te Awamutu, Waikato & mastered by Elliot Mulhern (Maroon Five, Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte) in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
