Molly Devine to release new single ‘Because I Love You’ next Wednesday
Because I Love You is about an experience of love that opens your heart to the wonder of life. Dunedin-based artist Molly Devine wrote it over five years ago. It remains her favourite song she’s written, but it hasn’t been released before as she could never find the right version. It wasn’t until last year when she started producing her own songs that she felt it all clicked into place. Molly estimates this is version 7 or 8, and doubts very much that it will be the final version, but is excited to share it as she feels, at this moment, it evokes the experience of love she wants to share.
This song will be the second in a series of self-produced music Molly has been working on over the past year. Available everywhere on Wednesday June 16th.
Molly will be celebrating that evening with an intimate piano-based set at Dog With Two Tails in Dunedin.
