John Butler Trio to Perform at Church Road Winery on Good Friday 2018

Revered for their brilliant live performances and superb musicianship, the John Butler Trio are one of the most successful Australian bands of the current era and are returning to New Zealand for a one-off show at the stunning Church Road Winery in the Hawkes Bay for Good Friday 2018.
The multi-award winning Blues and Roots act are one of those rare acts who have managed to successfully straddle across mainstream and alternative releasing a consistent stream of chart-busting tunes. Shaping the way independent music is released and received in Australia they have graced the stage of just about every major festival on the global circuit, including our very own Rhythm and Vines in 2009.
Their captivating and dynamic live performances continue to see them grow in stature and popularity by doing what they do best, touring their socks off! In 2014 the trio’s most recent album Flesh & Blood took out yet another accolade – the Aria Award for Best Blues and Roots Album.
The band are a constant on the world touring circuit, their avid fans can expect a new studio album to be released early in 2018. Previous performances from John Butler Trio in New Zealand include the Rhythm and Vines festival in 2009, Winery Tour in 2011, and a sold-out Powerstation show in 2014.
The performance at Church Road Winery (one of New Zealand’s oldest wineries) will go down as one of many memorable performances at the picturesque venue, with the likes of musical legends James Taylor, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper and more having performed there over the years.
Napier’s Mayor Bill Dalton says he is delighted to welcome yet another top act to the winery in 2018. “This council is committed to event support – we all reap the benefits when a great act like the John Butler Trio chooses Napier as its host city. It’s certainly very exciting to be welcoming them here and we know Hawkes Bay will impress the band, and all who come to see them, with its warm hospitality.”
People can register now to win access to discounted presale tickets starting from $49 for General Admission and VIP Tickets from $149.
Thanks to Napier City Council and Church Road Winery for their assistance in making this possible.
