Julia Michaels confirmed as special guest for Shawn Mendes NZ shows

It’s a mere four months until multi-platinum singer songwriter Shawn Mendes brings his acclaimed Illuminate World Tour to Australian and New Zealand arenas this summer. Frontier Touring is now excited to confirm joining Mendes on all shows and making her Australian and New Zealand performance debut is one of 2017’s biggest global breakthrough artists, Julia Michaels.

Michaelshas established herself as a chart force; logging 12 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, eight of which reached the top 40, before her voice had even hit the airwaves! One of the 10 New Artists You Need To Know: Feb 2017 by Rolling Stone, Michaels boasts an impressive repertoire, responsible for co-writing hits such as Sorry by Justin Bieber, Hands To Myself by Selena Gomez and Dive by Ed Sheeran, just to name a few.
 
Michaels’ first ever solo single, the pop ballad Issues, has been certified platinum in the US after only being released in January 2017, and according to Nielsen Music remains the best-selling song released by a new artist this year.
 
Follow-up single Uh Huh propels a love-struck vocal fluttering atop a snappy acoustic riff and eventually a tight synth groove. Both tracks are included in Michael’s highly anticipated mini-album Nervous System (out now via Republic Records).
