The Blind Tiger Is Open Most Nights Bodega, Wellington

BLACK KEYS AND BLUE NOTES
Koha Entry

Recently, we had blues legend Blind Boy (Jerron) Paxton over from the deep south of the Americas, playing one night at Bodega – his tech requirements included a stand up piano, we were happy to oblige.

Whilst at Bodega, Jerron found his way into the depths of 101 Ghuznee. Discovering the recently re-furbished and aptly named bar the ‘Blind Tiger’ he insisted, “that piano must be moved downstairs”.

We did exactly that. The piano has a new home.

The Blind tiger is now open. And starting Thursday the 19thof May, the infamous “Black keys and Blue Notes” returns, a weekly showcase of all things in the key of blue.

Over the years musically minded folks have expressed interest in playing downstairs – if this is you, contact us.

In the meantime, we will see you there next Thursday night…  8pm doors Koha entry
