Zuke releases a fresh take on ‘How We Met’ remixed with Dylan C

Wellington-based producer Zuke returns with a new rework from his acclaimed debut album in 2024 Come Closer, a fresh take on the album’s downtempo gem How We Met, remixed alongside long-time collaborator Dylan C.

Where the original drifted with haunting Rhodes chords and a deep, meditative atmosphere, the Dylan C and Zuke remix drives the track towards the dancefloor. Lifting the tempo, the duo reshape it into a hypnotic organic house groover, with inspired elements of acid house and dub echoes.

This marks the first official release for Dylan C and Zuke , a pairing well-known for their hybrid live/DJ performances across New Zealand festivals and club shows over the past six years. The remix captures the essence of those sets: deep, melodic, and immersive, yet always underpinned by energy and movement.

How We Met (Dylan C & Zuke Remix) will also appear on the compilation Loop[Select]Ronic001 – a snapshot of the label’s key releases ahead of a three-show Loop Electronic Tour across Aotearoa this November.
