Merlia, originally born in the Netherlands, grew up in the coastal town Ngunguru. Singing all her life, Merlia now blends her classical roots with moody modern pop. Her sound is immersive and richly textured, weaving folk-inspired elements with lush vocal harmonies.
With a background in acting, musical theatre, and live performance, Merlia’s emotive storytelling bring her songs to life. Merlia composes and performs her songs alongside Austyn Mills, who is a multi-instrumentalist and and composer.
