Take It To The Bridge – Amplify Aotearoa is the second intergenerational music event bringing rangatahi bands together with iconic Aotearoa musicians for a live collaborative performance. Organiser Lachie Holt had a long busy day inside Stebbing recording center in Auckland. Laying down the instruments and vocal tracks that will feature on the vinal and organising the shots for the music video.

The new recordings and a music video created through the project, featuring Don McGlashan with Albert Street – Leejay, Dan, Zak Jacob, and vocalist Miss Ally. Sound engineer Oliver Allan skillfully capturing every sound and bringing the original feel of Don McGlashan songs back to life

A live collaborative performance at Clarence St Theatre, Hamilton, Waikato on 22nd of August 2026 will showcase the school and youth bands. They will share the stage with Jason Kerrison, Nathan King, Mike Chunn, Emlyn Crowther, Andrew McClennan, Jesse O’Brien, Harry Haralambi and more artists to be announced.

Amplify Aotearoa is about mentorship, storytelling, and showing rangatahi that their music – and their stories – matter.
