Raw Meat For The Balcony Unveil New Single

Glue Head is a thrash metal track about the numbing effect of television and media. It plays on the idea of becoming a ‘glue head’ someone hypnotised by the screen, detached, passive, and slowly losing their grip on reality. Written in the early 1990’s, it taps into anxieties around mass media but feels even more relevant today in an age of endless content and screen addiction. It’s aggressive, cynical, and laced with dark humour.
Raw Meat for the Balcony was formed in 1993 by Matt Carson, Paul Hammond, and Pat Hammond, later joined by Chris Chetland. Known for their fierce live energy and fearless creativity, they became a defining force in New Zealand’s 1990’s metal scene.
Through a run of legendary shows including support slots for Pantera and Sepultura, the band carved out a cult following and recorded a debut album that was never released…until now.
Three decades later, that long-lost album C.S.D will finally see the light in 2026, bringing back a piece of NZ metal history.
