Blending contemporary R&B with island reggae and lovers rock influences, Givin’ It Up is a heartfelt celebration of love, loyalty and appreciation for the people who show up through life’s highs and lows. Warm, soulful and effortlessly uplifting, the single showcases the seamless chemistry between A.R.T and Keniye while highlighting the growing creative connection between Pacific artists across New Zealand and the United States.

Written by A.R.T, Keniye and Sammy Johnson, the collaboration came together after Sammy introduced the artists, bringing together creatives from opposite sides of the Pacific to craft a song rooted in shared culture, connection and feel-good storytelling.

The release marks A.R.T’s seventh consecutive monthly single of 2026, continuing the group’s First Thursdays campaign, which has seen them release new music on the first Thursday of every month this year. It follows a standout run for the trio, including their collaboration with Sammy Johnson on Make Me Believe and performances throughout New Zealand and Australia as the official support act for Josh Tatofi.

With multiple Pacific Music Awards to their name, alongside Aotearoa Music Award nominations for Breakthrough Artist (2025) and Best Soul/R&B Artist (2026), A.R.T continue to cement their place as one of Aotearoa’s leading harmony-driven acts, building a reputation for soulful songwriting, rich vocal arrangements and music that celebrates Pacific identity and connection.
