We Will Ride Fast Release New EP ‘Stuff Your Bones’
Following three single releases in 2026 so far – Unfurl Your Weeds, In Numbers, and You Need You (which featured on the RDU Te Ahi Top 10) – We Will Ride Fast returns with something a bit different. The Stuff Your Bones EP, featuring four brand new songs, is the first long-form release in some time from the Tauranga-based darkwave/psychedelic post punk project (a musical output of singer/multi-instrumentalist and multi-disciplinary artist Kyle Sattler).
The first single from Stuff Your Bones is the EP’s second track Our Clouded World. Inspired by the haunting, dreamlike world of Mark Linkous (Sparklehorse), Our Clouded World explores the self-perpetuating grip of cognitive bias, entwining surreal imagery with philosophical themes that invite listeners to reflect on the nature of perception, fear, and collective othering (the “us vs them” mentality). Through abstract, symbolic lyricism, the track mourns a society increasingly clouded by assumptions, inherited beliefs, and uncertain narratives.”
Sattler also adds, “I got to see Sparklehorse in Edinburgh in 2006. My last day in Scotland and they played!”
