DateMonthYear Releases New Song ‘843’
DateMonthYear is proud to announce the release of their latest song 843 available now on all streaming platforms. 843 is the third song in an EP also called 843 all of which deal with a series of memories, impressions and vignettes about growing up in suburban New Zealand in the 1970’s and 1980’s.
Songwriter Trevor Faville says “843 was the area code for the place where I grew up. A new suburb, lots of young families, mass street games of cricket, a bus that came by once on the hour and going ‘into town’ was something of a mission- if that’s believable! Seems a long time ago, and gosh – it was”.
Taken as a whole, all of the songs from the 843 EP have been a feature for the vocal work of Brooke Baker and Guitarist Tyler Leet bringing to life this collection of strongly melodic and melancholy music. All of these songs are in the process of being arranged and interpreted for a live performance.
DateMonthYear is an independent music organisation based in Hamilton, New Zealand. For decades, it has been a means of exploring the world of independent Alternative rock – sometimes in the mainstream, sometimes right out on the fringes. It’s a journey that continues, with plans for further releases in 2026.
