Max Allais Returns with Catchy New Single ‘Cry Baby’

New Zealand-French singer-songwriter, Max Allais, opens the next chapter of his artistic journey with the extremely catchy new single, Cry Baby (Real Thing Records/Better Now Records/Universal Music Group Germany).
Following on from the success of When The Party Ends and the release of his debut EP, Anywhere & Everywhere (featuring NZ chart and radio hits Wherever You Go and Everywhere) earlier this year, Max showcases his most emotional and personal work to date.
Blending honest lyrics, distinctive vocals and a contemporary pop sound, Cry Baby explores vulnerability, self-doubt and the complexities of relationships.
“When I wrote Cry Baby, I wanted to capture that turning point after heartbreak where you finally stop looking back,” says Max.
“It’s about being hurt, picking yourself up, and realizing you’ve moved on. I really wanted to capture this feeling while keeping the song upbeat. The song is honest and emotional, but it’s also fun, confident, and full of life. I hope anyone who’s been through a breakup can hear this song and feel a little stronger by the end of it.”
Beyond streaming platforms, Max Allais has built an impressive social media presence, connecting with millions of followers across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. His authentic content consistently generates millions of views, creating strong momentum around his music long before release.
Over the last year, Max has performed throughout Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the UK. In the process, he’s made the jump from smartphone and laptop screens into his listeners’ real lives, while sharing stages with Arthur Hill and Calum Bowie. Now, he’s a skilled performer who commands intimate rooms and expansive concert halls in equal measure.
And with new single Cry Baby, Max Allais further establishes himself as one of the most exciting emerging voices in contemporary pop.
