Miriam Clancy Shares Self-Assured Banger ‘Don’t You Know Who I Think I Am?’

Miriam Clancy’s self-assured single Don’t You Know Who I Think I Am? harnesses the kind of confidence we all need when entering a room filled with strangers. An ear-worm banger of a rock track, Don’t You Know Who I Think I Am? lays it all down, no need for second-guessing Clancy’s intention: she’s got her eyes on the prize at all times, constantly writing, recording and playing shows around the NYC area.
Don’t You Know Who I Think I Am? is the first single from Clancy’s highly-anticipated upcoming full-length release Final Girl, scheduled for release in February 2027 on US-based label Desert Road Records
Don’t You Know Who I Think I Am? is confidence on a stick. an identity anti-crisis. Clancy says she is “happily leaning/pissing into the 1000-knot wind of my own seismic ambition while swaggering its way through NZ-goes-Brooklyn-does-Brit-Pop with both hands in the air, then plunging into a naval gazing abyss at the last minute and taking you along with me for fun.”
Made between Brooklyn and Philadelphia then finished in Auckland, New Zealand, this song – and the imminent album Final Girl, has a foot in both worlds. Clancy is on a mission, and these songs aren’t going to sing themselves.
Don’t You Know Who I Think I Am? was recorded half in Philly and Brooklyn with a band of musician friends (Moon Mullins, Jeremy McDonald, Chris Parker, Christopher McDonald) and half in New Zealand with co-producer/multi-guy Jol Mulholland.
