Bazza Brown is one of New Zealand’s most promising country-rock artists, earning airplay on iHeartCountry NZ and early support from Six60 bassist Chris Mac. After Mac discovered Bazza’s original music, he invited him to Auckland to produce his song Singalong, a collaboration that would later see Bazza open for Six60 when their sold-out Grassroots Tour rolled through Balclutha.
Born in Gore, New Zealand’s country music capital, raised in small town South Otago, Bazza’s passion for songwriting began in his early high school years. Drawing inspiration from the people, places and experiences that have shaped his life, he writes songs that feel authentic, relatable and distinctly Kiwi. His sound blends country storytelling with the energy of rock, while subtle influences from the glam rock and grunge music he grew up listening to still shine through in his signature “trucker” country-rock style.
