Matteo Damesin

Matteo Damesin is a jazz pianist, filmmaker, and multidisciplinary creative whose work is deeply appreciative of storytelling, visual arts, and cinema. An alumnus of SAE Institute and an active contributor to the Aotearoa music community, Matteo consistently explores the crossroads of sound and image in his various bodies of work.

His debut album, Time Has Come, reflects his dedication to artistic growth and showcases the diverse skill set he has cultivated to propel his creative career forward. Drawing on influences from film, photography, and contemporary jazz, the project explores both technical sophistication and emotional depth.

Collaborating with musicians, videographers, photographers, and other creatives, Matteo thrives within these spaces while also valuing the solitude that nurtures reflection and artistic development.
