Music in Parks returned to the Auckland Domain Band Rotunda, Sunday, with jazz and strong dose of wind.

Headlining is Zimbabwean-born saxophonist Thabani Gapara, whose sound is a vibrant fusion of Bantu rhythms, funk grooves, and boundless improvisation.

Joining the line-up is Crystal Chen, part of the wave of young jazz musicians, with a nostalgic and contemporary style.

Opening the session is Arohana, a band that brings the groove with a combo of Carnatic and traditional jazz.
