Exit Sign unveils debut album ‘The Fallen’

Tamaki Makaurau heavy psychedelic trio Exit Sign have recently released their debut full-length album The Fallen on all streaming platforms and Bandcamp.
Consisting of Bassist/Vocalist Jay Alexander, Guitarist Ruairi Brunt, and Drummer Kevin Khaleel, Exit Sign have made their mark on the New Zealand scene with their cathartic sound and larger-than-life stage presence. With spacious atmospheres, crushingly heavy passages, and a sense of raw emotion in their musicianship, Exit Sign are a sight to see and have opened for equally powerful International acts such as Onanizer (Czech Republic) and Imperial Triumphant (USA) in 2025.
Having released singles Kaiju and Subsistence, the band continued to record and create what would eventually become their debut album The Fallen. Along with the singles, the album contains seven songs recorded and edited over the course of two years. From live studio recording with engineer Malachy Heath, to on-the-road editing and home overdubbing, the album translates their frantic and aggressive sound into an equally emotional yet sonically dense experience.
The album serves as a culmination of the band’s experimentation with sound thus far, with a pummeling sonic landscape that will leave the listener satisfied yet eagerly awaiting for more.
“Exit Sign burst onto the stage like cosmic outlaws, their sounds a tidal wave of distortion and elightenment” – Jubelschuppen, Music Blogger at https://jubelschuppen.de/
