Warmer weather is just round the corner but Raglan Roots Rock Outfit Zion Hill are set to heat things up this Friday Night in Hamilton at Diggers Back Bar . Along with friends NI-N -JAH and TWK Soundsystem GET TOASTED will be a tasty mix of Roots, Rock and Reggae hot enough to burn your feet.
Zion Hill delivers an effortlessly powerful fusion of rock and reggae, leaving audiences wanting more every time they hit the stage. Their exciting live sound is like hypnotic flame sound forming a connection not only between the musicians and their audience, but also between the musicians themselves. This deep-rooted and conscious vibe has made Zion Hill one of the most engaging and interesting bands on the scene.
Alongside Zion Hill comes NI-N-JAH, a 7 piece band that loves to jam. Playing mostly reggae with a bit of rock fusion and trippy stuff thrown in the mix, they began their journey early in 2010.Often referred to as “The Ninjas”, the band hail from Ngaruawahia, Paeroa and Hamilton and has a very strong whanau dimension.
Their track “Pride” has exceeded expectations by reaching the number one spot on Radio Tainui’s top five at five! Aspirations are high as they strive to reach the pinnacle of musical success and become “World famous in New Zealand”. With the whanau support and heart they have, anything is possible.
