Her Make Believe Band tour has change to line-up
Her Make Believe Band and The Bads regret to announce that due to a family illness The Bads are unable to take part in their planned joint tour this February. Her Make Believe Band will still play all 14 shows on the tour, which begins on Feb 2nd at Wellington’s Mighty Mighty and includes shows in Greymouth, Wanaka, Dunedin, Geraldine, Napier, Raglan and Onewhero, before the final show at The Classic in Auckland on Sunday 20th February.
Vanessa McGowan of Her Make Believe Band says “We are really disappointed The Bads won’t be joining us on this tour as it was a collaboration we were really excited about. Our thoughts go out to Dianne and Brett at this difficult time.”
Tickets remain valid for all shows, and refunds will be available from point of purchase.
Her Make Believe Band is a London-born band, led by New Zealanders Cy Winstanley and Vanessa McGowan, who play a masterful blend of Americana fused with jazz, soul and pop. The band are really looking forward to playing these shows and to touring the country again, after sell-out shows and widespread acclaim for last year’s national tour in support of debut album AM Radio.
A special feature on this tour will be Auckland based banjo, fiddle, guitar and vocalist Dave Khan who is a prominent fixture on the Auckland scene and has played with Don McGlashan, Hello Sailor, Auckland Philharmonia, Tami Nielson and Charlie Ash.
The tour will also see the debut of original songs by HMBB bassist and vocalist Vanessa McGowan.
