Infinity’s Cameron Budge Releases Autobiography: 52,000 Lessons

52,000 Lessons is a fascinating account of Cameron Budge’s musical life, which spans 54 years in New Zealand and ends up in a semi-retired state in Cambodia.
While it’s an insightful story of a drum teacher, touring and recording artist, the author pushes a personal envelope, revealing the psychological demeanor of an obsessive and highly charged man. There are loads of insightful teaching anecdotes that will appeal to students and teachers alike, but it’s the ‘Lessons’ that bare his struggles with drug use, injudicious decisions, and sundry relatable failures that captivate through the richly blended chapters. Clearly, Cameron is a talented musician, but it’s his strange and determined character that gives this story its exposed attraction.
Cameron has held the title of New Zealand’s Paiste percussion Specialist and the NZ non-stop drumming record for 48 hours. He has taught in excess of 70,000 drum lessons and achieved successes in Chamber music composition and as an A-grade pipe band drummer.
He has played for NZ band Gramsci touring as opening band for Anika Moa about 23 years ago.
He has recorded 3 albums with his main project, Infinity / the Traditional Aliens. All available on Spotify.
Autobiography 52,000 Lessons: one stick at a time is available on Amazon Kindle.
