Lorenzo Hazelwood Announces New Single ‘Dreams’

Coming in at over 6 minutes long, Dreams is the most ambitious song from Liminal Spaces so far. Opening with a dreamy, picked acoustic guitar riff in DADGAD tuning, the song gradually builds into a storm of layered guitars, textured rhythms, and emotional weight. You wouldn’t know it, but the song was inspired by bluegrass guitarist Billy Strings.
Fans of Days of The New, Soundgarden, and modern post-grunge will feel right at home in the world of Dreams.
“Lorenzo Hazelwood’s songwriting and voice captures the essence and spirit of the Seattle scene of the 90’s, but with a completely modern take.” – Jay Ruston, Los Angeles, Record Producer
The single was recorded in a humble living room studio, with Az Burns producing, mixing, and contributing bass and percussion. Az’s instinctive production style helped elevate the song into its current form, raw, atmospheric, and emotionally driven.
Lorenzo will be supporting this release with a solo acoustic performance at Cafe 39 in Auckland on June 28th. Showcasing Dreams and more from his released and unreleased discography in a stripped-back environment, just as the songs were written.
