Newcomer MIG Rabat Drops Energetic Debut Single
We have a new jam upon us as newcomer MIG Rabat has launched his debut single: Language! The vibe is infectious and the lyrics are raunchy; just about everything you’d expect from an early 2000’s throwback track. “There’s a lot of American Pie energy”, says MIG, referring to the inspiration behind the song. An almost direct nod to the gnarly teen comedies & great Blink 182 yo momma jokes of the era.
Language! was produced by Corey Friedlander over at Core Focus Studios. Fully mixed and mastered by him; as well as supplying the drum tracks – Corey has instilled a lot of his DNA in the song as well. “There was something about the groove that Corey absolutely nailed” commented MIG. The opening riff was also something MIG has been toying around with. He was jamming out to New Found Glory’s Selfless from the Resurrection album and quickly realized that there was a whole song hiding within the breakdown.
As a debut track, this is a strong introduction to MIG Rabat and his style of song writing. But this track is meant to be the first part in an eventual line up of songs he plans to release. Serving as the strong open, Language! lays down the ground work for what to expect from MIG: bouncy riffage, high energy and insanely catchy melodies. With talks of an impending EP release, we can all get excited for more good Pop Punk headed our way!
