Park Rd – ‘Golden’ Single Release

West Auckland’s fast up and coming indie-surf band Park Rd have dropped their latest single today, and it’s … well… Golden.
The five-piece have proven that even a pandemic won’t hold them back; reaching three-quarters of a million streams on spotify, featuring at Live Nation and Vodafone’s Ones to Watch showcase, playing to a sold out crowd of fans at Auckland’s Tuning Fork, and releasing their first body of work in May (an EP called Sandcastles) – amongst other stepping stones.
Lead guitar Angus Hampton-Carr says that Park Rd is about being together, as a band and with the community around them. “We put a lot of love into our songs and we have a lot of fun writing them as a band, but the highlight for me is the being able to play shows and feel everyone there coming together and having a blast with something we created.”
Golden is a reflection of just that – appreciating the power of the journey the group is on, together connected by music.
Park Rd are heading into an exciting summer run, including – among some shows yet to be announced (so watch this space) – playing to an all ages crowd at The Phoenix Summit on the 15th November, and then Rhythm and Vines over new years.
