Reb Fountain Shares ‘100 Days’ From Upcoming EP ‘Smoke Signals’

Reb Fountain today shares 100 Days, the fourth single from her forthcoming EP Smoke Signals, which is due for release on Friday May 1.
Makes no sense at all
Even when we’re laughing
Everybody’s crying
100 Days salutes to the hypnotic sounds of Dido & Massive Attack, delivering melancholic folk-pop at it’s finest. Darkly sensual notes alchemise the haunting production and intimate vocals in this mid-tempo banger. Written to help make sense of the incongruity of our times, where war has become part of our daily routine, 100 Days bears witness to what is and invites us to ‘choose love even when we’re falling’.
100 Days is accompanied by a music video release; part of a series of vignettes created for the Smoke Signals EP developed in collaboration with Director Lola Fountain-Best, Director of Photography Olly Harris & the team at First Rodeo.
Reb Fountain’s new EP, Smoke Signals is set for release Friday May 1.
Smoke Signals is a collaborative project between Reb Fountain and producers Dave Khan and Matt Mitchinson. The songs were compiled over time and space as the three friends worked between Sweden & Aotearoa to develop the works. They came together to complete the recordings in Tāmaki Makaurau at Roundhead Studios with De Stevens at the helm. De’s perspective became integral to the sound of the songs and he mixed the EP before sending it off to renowned mastering engineer Greg Obis for completion.
