Having garnered over 300K streams on her music, and alongside this building an empire on social media of over 90K followers, Lucy is one to watch.

Her new track Saviourism arrives today, 20th of June, after being teased at her Ones to Watch performance at the Tuning Fork earlier in June.

Saviourism is a track about being in a relationship with someone who needs to be a saviour. Inspired by the likes of Boygenius’s nostalgic and yearning instrumentation, Lorde’s electronic yet emotional production, and Phoebe Bridgers’s lyricism.

This release is an anthemic indie song with a haunting build. Lucy weaves a succinct narrative throughout the song, while exemplifying lyrical tact and precision with lines like “But I fought like a martyr to be a dog at your door” and “Toothpick to the skull, pick it til it’s clean, purify me, and yet I’m ready to be shipped to hell.”

She’s just come off the back of opening for Frankie Venter on her ‘Like it Like That’ Tour in Christchurch, and has a Zoom Concert with limited places hosted for fans on Monday the 23rd of June.
