Sabreen Islam Returns With Her Newest Dreamy Single 'let Me Dream A While'

Following the successful release of her debut single Can’t in July 2020, Sabreen Islam is set to return to the music scene with her whimsical indie-folk single Let Me Dream A While, dropping November 13th.

Sabreen Islam is an indie singer-songwriter and writer hailing from New Zealand, taking inspiration from a wide range of artists such as Hozier, Conan Gray and dodie. Through soft guitars, gentle synths and catchy melodies paired with emotive and raw lyrics, Sabreen Islam’s music has had a profound impact on live audiences across New Zealand and is now ready to be shared with the world. Her debut collection of poetry Spring Clean reached #4 in Oceanian Poetry and #1 in Children’s Poetry upon its release on Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited in April 2019. She also played Auckland’s famous Others Way Festival in 2018 and has performed and worked alongside the likes of New Zealand’s very own pop sensation, Jamie McDell.

With more releases to follow in the coming months, this single encapsulates the universal feelings of growing up and leaving one’s childhood behind, and how we hold onto our hopes and dreams long after we stop believing in fairy tales. As a young woman entering adulthood, Sabreen eloquently captures the emotions surrounding stepping into the adult world and the childish hope we all cling to, even as we mature and grow older.

Let Me Dream A While will be released on all music platforms on Friday November 13th.
