Saurian Launch New Single ‘Laced’
Dunedin Rockers Saurian launched their newest single, Laced this January. This release bids farewell to their punk era and presents their new hard rock sound to the world. By fusing the nostalgia of 2000’s hard rock, metal, and post-grunge, Saurian have forged their own unique sonic identity.
Driven by high-gain guitar riffs and gritty vocals, Laced explores the feeling of being trapped in a relentless streak of bad luck. Saurian was stoked to record and mix Laced at Sublime Studios (Kurow, New Zealand), ensuring their energy was captured perfectly. For the final touches, Chris Chetland (KOG) was brought onboard to master the track.
To complete the package, the band needed some incredible artwork. This led Saurian to Koryu Aoshima, who was tasked with representing the sound and concept of Laced in a single static image.
