Something Something Present: The Darlings and Raffla Spring Show

Get ready for a night of unforgettable live music as The Darlings and Raffla take over Newtown Community Centre on October 4th. Blending a multitude of genres with raw energy and emotion, the bands are set to deliver a performance that captures the spirit of Aotearoa’s thriving music scene.
Female-led five-piece band The Darlings bring the “fun music” back to Wellington with their wild mix of rock, funk, and R&B. Listen out for reckless genre-bending and theatrical performances that keep the energy high, and the boredom low.
Raffla brings bass heavy skanks, groovy rhythms and infectious vibrations, causing a recent spread of the swamp across Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Their genre-less sound draws heavily from influences of reggae and dub, with fast paced skanks of ska, and groovy rhythms of dance music.
B-TELLO, an upcoming DJ based in Pōneke (Wellington), NZ. He takes the sonic reins and throws down tasty Garage dubs, Hardgroove heaters accompanied by old school Breaks, Dub and Techno to keep the dancefloor moving. B-TELLO specialises in dance rhythms from 120 to 160 bpm.
With early bird tickets likely to sell out quickly, help us to make this a memorable night by bringing your dancing spirit, gather some friends – we’ll see you there!
Tickets available from Under The Radar.
