Steve Wells is best known as the guitarist in platinum-selling, award-winning Aotearoa New Zealand rock band Fur Patrol, but the Paris-based multi-disciplinary artist has been stepping further into the solo spotlight.

In 2007 Steve took a break from music to pursue life as a photographer – famously taking a portrait of Former Libertines and BabyShambles lead singer Pete Doherty eating hypodermic syringes – for his personal series A Table.

In 2017 he returned to music as a composer-collaborator for film scores and electro tracks with French producer Cluz.

2020 – Steve released his debut solo EP, the electro-dance Poolside, followed by 2022’s Spacial-electro, cinematic track Makeshift Heart, pop rock love song Steal the Sun and his first solo album Songs For The Summer Rain.

2023 – saw the release of Lumoy’s EP Maintenant, co-written and recorded / produced by Steve 2024 – another co-write for the album Sunset Kiss + the Lumoy single Take Me To The Garden (and it’s subsequent Rose Remix).

2025 – Steve gets back to his roots of dirty guitars, driving bass, drums and vocals with his single Friends, following it up with another indie-rock masterpiece Feel Me Die, a song about love, loss & heartbreak, something we can all relate to….

Feel Me Die is now available on all streaming platforms.
