STNDRD and Evander Release New Single ‘Back To You’
Back To You from STNDRD and Evander explores the emotional cycle of holding onto a relationship that has lost its spark, where love has been replaced by hurt, resentment and unmet expectations. The track captures the reality of falling into a toxic cycle where, despite things clearly not working out, something keeps pulling you back together. Drawing inspiration from classic 90’s and 2000’s R&B duets, it channels the timeless chemistry of artists like Boyz II Men and Mariah Carey, or Usher and Monica.
The song began taking shape in 2024 after STNDRD received the beat from NT and Pana during a session at Big Fan in Auckland. With the first verse and hook complete, they knew the track needed a soulful female voice. That search led them to Evander, who joined them in the studio in 2026 to record her verse and bridge, completing the collaboration.
This release continues STNDRD’s monthly rollout throughout 2026, a campaign that has already built strong momentum with charting singles including Get It Back featuring Myshaan and It’s Up featuring Stallyano.
