Sunset Tsunami Release Third Single From Upcoming Album
Sunset Tsunami continue their run of new music with Race The Sun, the third single from their forthcoming second album.
Following on from ‘Chillaxin’ With Cherry’ and ‘Lemon Drops’, the British/Kiwi duo move further into the warm, sample-driven side of their sound, blending downtempo electronics, live instrumentation and laid-back soul influences.
Built around a relaxed instrumental groove, jazz-inflected guitar and soulful vocal samples, Race The Sun draws from the classic downbeat and lounge sound while retaining Sunset Tsunami’s focus on rhythm and atmosphere. There is a nostalgic quality to the production, balanced by a steady groove that keeps the track moving.
Where the previous singles introduced the brighter downtempo and mid-tempo funk elements of the new record, Race The Sun takes a smoother approach.
