Tarn PK hails from Wellington, New Zealand. He has steadily built a name for himself as a boundary-pushing producer, songwriter, and performer. His style fuses emotional vulnerability with sleek, futuristic sound design. He creates immersive worlds with each release.

His new EP, F.O.M.O, is a reflection on burnout, ambition, and identity in a digitally overwhelmed world. It draws inspiration from urban isolation and the weight of expectations.

The single F.O.M.O opens the EP, followed by Cry Baby, but the focus track for the EP release is it’s last track Comfy. This track expresses a sense of resolution and contentment, bookending the emotional journey of the preceding five tracks.

With over 2.2 million streams across platforms and 1.8 million on Spotify alone, his impact is undeniable. Tracks like Cheap Ecstasy and Talk To You have landed on major editorial playlists. His EPs – Fantasy, Monarch, and SugarCoated – have consistently showcased his range and evolution as an artist.

“From slow-burning ballads to breakbeat-laced indie pop, Tarn PK continues to defy genre confines while carving out a lane entirely his own. His music is not only sonically inventive, but also rooted in concept-driven storytelling” [The Cage Blog].

F.O.M.O was a reflection of working a 9-5 job and wanting to see more progression in my musical career. A mix of feelings of looking at where other people were in their careers at my age and this sense of frustration. The first song written for the project was the track Sleep Walking which describes that feeling of the ‘zombies’ walking through the city at 7am and not being fully alive. Once this lyrical angle was uncovered, more seemed to flow in a similar direction that would become the through line for the EP.

For the song Comfy this felt like the natural resolution for the EP, the opposite of where F.O.M.O begins off. Comfy was about finding solace in the present and not always being so forward focused. I felt strongly from the early stages that F.O.M.O and Comfy were the bookends for the EP and showed a progression through the 6 tracks.”

Cry Baby, the first single from F.O.M.O, landed on Apple Music’s Editorial playlists New in Indie and New in Alternative in the UK/Europe. F.O.M.O, the second single, is currently on Spotify playlists with over 250k followers.
