The Avondale Spiders Unleash Halloween Single ‘Call Of The Wild’

Auckland alternative rock outfit The Avondale Spiders are bringing some seriously wild energy to Halloween with the release of their new single, Call of the Wild, out today October 29.
Call of the Wild is a fuzz-fuelled trip into a world of supernatural seduction, voodoo witchcraft and midnight madness. Driven by Chuck Berry-inspired guitar licks, irresistible rock ’n’ roll riffs and lyrics about a dangerously wild, shape-shifting femme fatale, the track is made for dancing with the devil and staying out way past midnight.
Imagine the twisted horror-comedy energy of Jennifer’s Body colliding with the wild imagination of underground horror comics, all soundtracked by a garage rock band with a taste for the weird.
The Avondale Spiders are a four-piece alternative rock band from Auckland, New Zealand, drawing inspiration from rock ’n’ roll legends including The Stooges, The Misfits, Alice Cooper and The Ramones. Combining garage rock grit, punk attitude and a passion for horror and comic-book culture. Their music has received support from alternative radio stations in New Zealand and internationally.
With Call of the Wild, The Avondale Spiders deliver the perfect Halloween soundtrack for garage rock fans, horror aficionados and comic art devotees alike.
Forget trick or treat. This Halloween, answer the call of the wild!
