The Honesty Releases New Single ‘Let Go’
The Honesty is the indie/alt-pop project of New Zealand artist Josh Luke Thompson.
Following his debut single 11:59, The Honesty’s new single Let Go continues to explore time, control and the tension between flesh and spirit. At its centre is the idea of “dying to self”: what it really means, how the phrase can be misconstrued, and the deeply human struggle of wanting to surrender control but repeatedly failing to do so.
“For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.”
Let Go is an energetic, gritty alt-pop track, raw electric guitars and distorted vocals collide with electronic production, bringing a youthful, restless energy to an emotionally conflicted song.
It is the second single in a series building towards a seven-track EP within a wider conceptual world.
