Following the success of previous releases, Tohu continues to push his sound forward while keeping te reo Māori and cultural identity at the heart of his music.
Tohu has built a growing catalogue of bilingual waiata that move between melodic vocals, rap and contemporary Māori sounds.
His previous releases include Nōku Nei Te Aroha, which reached #19 on the Hot NZ Charts, and Tū Mai Te Reo, which reached #9 on the Hot NZ Charts and #3 on the Te Reo Māori Charts.
His single Whakapapa Driven featuring A-Kla$$ was proudly supported by Te Māngai Pāho, further establishing Tohu as an artist using music to celebrate Māori identity, language and whakapapa.
