Vera Ellen Releases Video For ‘Stuck w Me’
Vera Ellen shares a brand new music video — this time for her tune Stuck w Me — from the recently released album, It’s Your Birthday. The video was filmed in and around New York City by Saskia Kivilo in November 2021.
Conceptually the video explores the anonymous, shapeless, unpredictable yet charming nature of romantic love and heartbreak. In collaboration with Saskia’s clothing brand MagicBrain, Vera sports a ski mask and flowers while exploring Louis Valentino, Jr. Park and Pier.
“We took multiple buses to get out to Redhook. It was actually quiet, which is saying something for NYC. It was a freezing cold day. Needless to say, the ski mask was more than just an ‘artistic choice’. Before Saskia arrived, I sat at the pier eating Dunkin’ Donuts in my ski mask. Must have looked pretty odd”
Vera on the song, Stuck w Me says, “Stuck w Me is the most vulnerable song on the record. It was mostly improvised and recorded in one take on my laptop literally minutes after a break up.”
