Wellington’s Underwire Release New Single ‘Gloves Off’
Underwire had a great year in 2023, releasing four singles; playing a host of shows around the Wellington region; spending two months on Apple’s New Rock, Rise and Grind, and Breaking Rock playlists; attracting over 20,000 YouTube views; gaining New Zealand and international indie radio play; and recording with amazing producer Scott Seabright.
Their latest single Gloves Off is out on 8 March 2024, and is an ‘allegedly pop’ pushback at billionaires and other narcissists – those who would dictate your thoughts. Simple, blunt, but evocative – if we can send a couple of billionaires to space, why not all of them? A dangerous little pop song, made with love and anger, calling out the trouble all the time.
